London: After 55 years, Italy defeated the English football team which reached the final of any major event in the Euro Cup final and won the title.
According to a foreign news agency, the last match of the European Championship at London's Wembley Stadium was between teams from England and Italy, which resulted in penalties after an interesting match between the two teams.
In the 90th minute England overtook Italy scoring in the second minute of the match, but Italy closed the lead with a goal in the 67th minute of the second half and then in the extra 30 minutes the match between the two teams. Impossible to decide.
Reaching the final of any major football event since 1966 on penalties, the English team suffered a 2-3 defeat at the hands of Italy, while Italy won the Euro for the second time.
It should be noted that England reached the semi-finals 55 years later by beating Denmark 1-2 in extra time.
