CALIFORNIA: The media, including Amazon, were shut down in a major global internet crash a few days ago, not because of hacking or sabotage, but because of inadvertent human error.
According to the World News Agency, Fastley's cloud computing recently completed an investigation into the collapse of the internet and the resulting downfall of a number of e-commerce, entertainment, media and social media websites using Fastley's services.
The report reveals that all fears and predictions have been proven wrong. The internet failure was not caused by hacking or sabotage, but by the fact that a customer woke up a sleep error during a service configuration change and the same error broke the internet.
The company added in their report that a solution has been found to avoid such a problem in the future and they are now conducting an internal audit on why the error could not be identified during testing.
It should be noted that, on June 8, many prestigious websites were shut down due to the massive breakdown of the internet around the world, including Amazon, BBC, CNN. These suddenly closed websites used a service called Fastley.
