The Belarusian Air Force forcibly brought a Ryanair flight from Greece to Europe in Lithuania at Minsk airport from the capital to arrest a reporter.
According to aviation sources, Ryanair flight FR 4974 departed from Athens, Greece, at 7:30 local time to Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
The plane flew as usual and entered Belarus two and a half hours later, when it was surrounded by aircraft from the Belarusian Air Force.
The Belarusian Air Force landed the plane at the Minsk International Airport.
According to sources, the famous Belarusian anti-government journalist Roman Protasovich was traveling on the flight.
According to aviation sources, after landing at Minsk airport, the police surrounded a Boeing 737, which crashed into the plane and arrested reporter Roman Protaswich after identifying him.
Aviation experts have harshly criticized Belarusian aviation for forcibly taking over a Ryanair plane at the behest of Belarusian dictator Lukashenko and endangering the lives of other passengers.
