An older boy died during a judo class in Taiwan and then a coach knocked a boy to the ground a total of 27 times.
In April, the boy suffered severe head injuries that left him unconscious and in a coma due to a brain hemorrhage. Authorities did not identify the baby and then put him on a ventilator in the hospital.
On Tuesday at 9:00 pm, the hospital announced that the baby's heart rate and blood pressure were dropping and, after consulting the family, he was removed from the ventilator after 70 days.
A lawsuit has been filed against the coach of the boy 'Ho', 60, for physical violence that resulted in serious injuries and a crime against a minor. Koch was arrested by police shortly after the incident but was released on 3,583 bail.
The coach's full name was not revealed and part of his name was revealed.
After the boy's death, the nature of the accusation against the coach will change and Ho will face a physical abuse trial with the intention of killing the boy.
The coach can be sentenced to a minimum of seven years and a maximum of life imprisonment.
Respect for the teacher
The seven-year-old took a judo class on April 21 under the supervision of his uncle. The boy's uncle made a movie during the boy's training so that he could show his mother that judo training is not good for the boy.
The video shows the seven babies repeatedly beaten to the ground by an older child and the baby crying. The coach ordered the older boy to hit him more on the ground and then the coach himself hit the boy on the ground.
The boy passed out at the time, but the family claims his coach said he was pretending to be unconscious. Questions have been raised about the boy's uncle as to why he didn't stop the coach despite him being there.
However, Taiwanese experts say teachers are highly respected in society and obeyed in all circumstances.
The girl's mother said that her uncle was very sad about what had happened to the girl. It was later revealed that the judo teacher didn't even have a training license.
The boy's mother said, "I remember the day I took him to school in the morning, she turned around and said, 'Mom, hello' and the evening is over."
At 9:00 pm Tuesday, Fengyuan Hospital announced that the baby's blood pressure and heart rate were dropping. Doctors told the boy's family that the boy's life support had been suspended.
On Taiwanese social media, grief and anger over the death of the child are expressed, with many saying: "There's no more pain, little brother." Parents are demanding compensation.
